For inner guidance, analyze your DAYdreams, too!

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

For 15 years I have done intuitive dream analysis and folks have loved it (just call me Joseph–lol!) I know there are a variety of theories about dreams, ranging from dreams being meaningful to meaningless. For some reason, my clients typically walk away with a big new self-insight and a new healing exercise to move beyond some aspect of their struggles.

Recently I have been working on a new phenomenon — DAYdream analysis. You do not have to fall asleep in order to find brilliant guidance. Simply look at the vivid scenes that flit through your head!!!

It’s been an—er—eye-opener.

We rarely pay attention to daydreams. When I catch myself daydreaming, I try to snap out of it and come back to “real life.” And my daydreams easily flit away. But now I am practicing noticing them. Since this is not yet a spiritual habit, I have to put a little effort into it, like when I trained myself to remember night dreams long enough to make a few notes in the morning before they, too, went poof.

Daydreams Are Rich Sources of Self-Information from Your Unconscious Mind

Your daydream is realer than real life. Though the term “daydream” generally represents a condition of happily not paying attention, actual daydreams can be positive or negative.

I am finding that a daydream is like a picture-based type of thought (but not our usual logical thought) floating through your head.  It’s a part of your consciousness, often reflecting the state of your being.  (Why wouldn’ t that part of you think about what’s going on, too?) I am finding that daydreams typically represent a currrent situation metaphorically or symbolically, and so by analyzing them, you can see the situation more clearly. When I look at daydreams as a longtime healer and intuitive or psychic reader, what often pops out next is a healing exercise to take advantage of positive issues and help move beyond disturbing ones. (Love it!)

To analyze daydreams, it helps to be very intuitive and experienced with metaphors and symbolism. Then again, nobody can interpret your inner symbolism like you can. Take a stab at it! Jot down the essentials of the daydream and what was going on when you had it. “What was going on” may include issues you are working on healing, or simply exactly what was happening at the moment.

The first daydream I analyzed was my own, a disturbing daydream where someone was being hurt on purpose. As a healer, I’d like to think I have healed beyond such unpleasantries, but no. There it was. Some innocent, uncertain part of me was being harmed on purpose by something that was totally taking advantage of my indecision. When I identified the relevant parts of me, I found a significant opportunity for healing. I’m excited to work through this issue. I saw an unexpected, hidden aspect of it through my daydream.

Is Your Intuition Scaring You?

Wednesday, March 7th, 2012

As a coach or mentor to healers, I often meet folks who are really weirded out by their own intuitive gifts. I get desperate emails from strangers asking what to do because they see double numbers on the clock all the time, or feel other people’s emotions, or know what people are about to say, or know what will happen later (and it does). Some see faces in windows or sense what they think are ghosts or spirits. They dream about things that come true.

Worse, they report feeling  frightened by these psychic happenings. They say their family has started to think they’re weird. They “freak out” their friends. And they have nobody to talk to about it.

If you feel the same way, here is what you can do.

1. Accept It with Gratitude

One, we all are naturally psychic, so the first thing is to accept this gift. Intuition is a perfectly normal part of who you are. Humans are not bags of chemicals and bones walking around on timers. We are energy beings, and only the slowest part of us is made of physical energy. Those other parts of your consciousness are connected to everything around you on nonphysical energy levels: to other people and their energies (including thoughts), to the timeline (forward and back), to residual energies people leave behind, etc.

Your energy body inputs a LOT of information that many humans typically ignore. If you are intuitive, you are simply allowing this information to float into your thinking mind. Wow, congratulations! That’s not easy to do.

Now stop whining and start refining. Yes, you are hearing your intuition more clearly, and that’s great. Feel the gratitude! You are connected with the Universe in a deeper way. Become a loving observer and see what your intuition has to say to you. Once, I heard my jacket say “take me with you” to walk to a restaurant on a warm sunny day. I thought it was silly, but did it because I was practicing listening to my intuition. Inside, the air conditioning made the place freezing, and having the jacket allowed me to enjoy lunch. Thank you, intuition.

2. Find Out: How Can This Information Be of Service?

Ask yourself this: how can you use this occasional (or frequent) additional information in your journey? I once had the (weirdest) strongest feeling I was driving to my death, so I postponed my nighttime winter trip to the light of early morning, and still almost wiped out on black ice at one point. I’m very glad I listened to myself.

Intuition can be used helpfully at home or at your job, in analytical tasks, raising your kids, grocery shopping, volunteering, making choices, advising friends, and in your own business to know which clients to accept and turn away, or how you can best help them.

Yes, sometimes you get random information that you just let go of. But ask yourself these questions to start using your intuition: If this were a gift, what would be its purpose? How can I tell the difference between thoughts and intuitive hits?

3. Connect with Kindred Spirits

Support yourself and your divine gift of intuition. Hang out with people who are also intuitive and believe in the importance of it.

Then look at who exactly is “freaking out” about your psychic abilities. Often, we project our own discomfort onto others, or they pick it up from us and send it back. If you were perfectly accepting about your intuition, as if this kind of thing happened every day and is normal, would they be? Or perhaps you need to shift who you hang out with… Sometimes, as we grow into who we really are, our friends change.

Your most important task on life’s spiritual journey is to know and accept yourself as you are. This is the only way you can fully discover your divine gifts and use them, which in my opinion is the whole point of this crazy game. ;)  By hanging out with people who accept you, you can grow to fully accept yourself.

You are a swan. Stop playing with the ducklings and stretch your own beautiful, intuitive wings.

What flavor of psychic are you? Part 2: Clairaudience

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

This article series is about the many forms of human intuition. Do you know your strongest type?

To recap our intro article, intuition is a way you can receive information through the parts of your consciousness other than your physical body or rational, thinking mind.

Intuition is perfectly normal. Your job, my dear spiritual traveler, is to learn to recognize and decipher your intuition, and then use it to live a good life and help people.

Types of Intuition – 2. Clairaudience

Most flavors of intuition begin with the prefix “clair-”, French for “clear.” Not all are voluntary, able to be turned on and off, though you can get there with practice. In clairaudience, you receive information through what feels like a sense of hearing.

Sometimes, the information feels like it has actually been said aloud. Many clients and healers have told me of such events. They heard a profound and simple statement as if it was very clearly said aloud (except nobody was there or nobody else heard it). Those messages were deeply clarifying and became turning points in their spiritual journeys. This is one kind of clairaudient event.

Clairaudience can be subtle, too. When working with clients, I have heard clear messages for the client from his or her guides, higher wisdom, or dead relatives (can often tell who or describe them). It feels like I hear the entire phrase, as if it is being said to them. To me it does not feel like I’m hearing a physical sound. It often comes with emotions or the feeling of the consciousness that is “saying” it. So I pass these messages along as best I can. They are often super easy to forget, like waking from a dream and trying to tell someone what it was right away. For the client, the message is often profound. While random statements to me (tho often clerly loving), they are “wow” to the client, even to the point of tears.

You can think of clairaudience as a form of channeling, where the words of another consciousness come through you as if you are hearing them said. You are a conscious relay, shifting from your clairaudient higher consciousness down to the part of your consciousness that talks or writes. This type of channeling differs from claircognizance, which is like a brain dump: you know a lot of information in a deep way all at once.

Are You Clairaudient?

All right, I’ve had decades of practice as a psychic or empath, but I suspect many folks hear clairaudient messages and cannot tell them apart from our own thoughts. Instead, they assume this valuable guidance is just a random thought. That’s too bad when they brush off what could be a profoundly healing statement.

All the information you need in any situation is available to you. If your overtaxed thinking mind cannot figure it out, your higher guidance has an infinite number of alternatives. To create healing, we should always search with our hearts and higher consicousness for solutions beyond what the mere thinking mind can create.

To get better at recognizing how a clairaudient message feels different from random thoughts, simply listen. See if you can begin to feel the difference in how your thoughts feel. Pay special attention to statements or thoughts you hear in meditation, on nature walks, or during those wonderful times when our physical consciousness is just busy enough to let us drift into higher layers of consciousness: driving, showering, doing dishes or other routine physical tasks, for instance.

As with practicing any kind of intuition, you both need to hear it and get some feedback to test how accurate it is. Practice does not get you to Carnegie Hall — but practice with accurate feedback does. Keep a notebook handy and see how you do.

Yes, you are intuitive. All the information you need is available to you. How can you use your gifts to live a blissful life that benefits others?

Better Healing with Clairaudience

To listen is to pay attention to what you are hearing. Clairaudience goes beyond the physical ears and brain, however. It is an open state of receiving information.

If you are a healer or would like to create the permanent positive transformation that we call healing, then develop intuitive listening. Create a state of what feels like listening with your entire body and being. Then train your mind to receive it, bypassing the thinking mind’s habit of judging, measuring, categorizing, rationalizing, and rejecting. Enjoy the journey!

Next time:  clairemotional or empathic (not the same as empathetic).

Afraid of negative astrology (or other) predictions? Shift beyond them like this…

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

~ Daria’s Wednesday Wisdom column ~

The client called out of the blue. “You have to help me!” he said, “I’ve scheduled an important event and now my astrology says it’s a terrible day where everything will go wrong!”

While some people scoff at astrology, I find that as you step onto your spiritual path and further awaken your healing gifts, you actually become more sensitive to these background energies in the universe. In a sense, your readings can become increasingly accurate (especially with a good practitioner). At some point, you may become fearful of a negative prediction like Mercury retrograde, or a Saturn/Uranus alignment that makes you want to stay in bed all day and wait for next week to arrive.

Here are three key insights you are missing if you are afraid of the big bad astrologer, and how to resolve the problem.

1. As with all intuitive senses, much depends on interpretation.

Of course it helps to have a good reader who can tune into you and the meaning you need to hear in that moment. But even smashingly good intuitives and psychics often interpret the symbols they see through their own filters, and commonly make mistakes not in what they saw but in how they described it. That means there are many other valid interpretations of meaning, on many levels, whatever a reader or astrologer tells you.

This client was looking at a general chart of planetary energies and what they could, generally, mean. That means the astrologer did not customize the prediction to him. So we looked them over. Yes, I said, Saturn is the great teacher who brings lessons. When you are resisting his teachings, you might end up learning the hard way, ouch. Or, Saturn can mean that you will learn something wonderful and new from the event in question!

Uranus is an energy of great change and turnover–out with the old and in with the new. One way of interpreting that energy is that everything will go to heck in a hand basket. Another way is to say that transformation is coming. And I knew my client intended to create transformation with this event in question. He was relieved to hear these other, more specific interpretations, to say the least.

2. Events and forces in your personal spiritual journey may powerfully override astrological or other external forces.

I once had a dream where I was falling in love in a war zone. I was not fighting the war (was too young) and could hear it going on around me. Yet I was sappily, happily falling head over heels. In that moment, the environment of war was not affecting my spiritual journey with my beloved nearly as much as the forces of love and the hormones of youth.

Back to my client. Since I speak to bodies and higher selves, I asked his energy and received the message: “Yes yes yes, go go go! Having this event on that day ranks at a 10 out of 10 for him!” Something in his personal energy wanted that even then, no matter what was happening in the skies.

At this point in his life, the worrisome event represented a new, greater way of operating for him. He was stepping it up, moving forward. He would learn something new from this event and transform not only his own path but his students as well. His specific situation required a different interpretation from the negative general one.

3. There is ALWAYS something positive you can do in “negative” energy.

This is the greatest insight of them all. Don’t sit at home waiting for better energies to arrive next week! Whatever the prediction, there is some way you can turn it into something positive or at least something transformational. You are a natural born healer, and you have the gift to turn anything — anything — a positive way. That is the Gift of the Healer, which I discuss in detail in my book coming out this fall. We each have it.

If you must stay home, why not clean out the closet you’ve been meaning to? If you are going to postpone your event, how can you spin it to your advantage and do something extra with the time? Best of all, how can you stand firm in your intentions and move through the predicted negativity with aplomb and the eternal mind of a student? Even negative energies can have a purging effect when they take you through the darkness and out the other side.

There is ALWAYS something positive you can do in “negative” situations.

And it is your job as a healer to go find them. You can do this.

Healing story:
It was hard to become a healer, with all my doubt

Saturday, June 18th, 2011

It was hard for me to become a healer.  I am a child of unassailable logic and practicality.  My family of origin worships science.  And I was raised to be more concerned with what everyone else thought of me than with what I thought of me.  (Thus I didn’t think much of me.)

A couple years into my healing journey, when I was reluctantly drawing the painful conclusion that in this crazy energy healing (of all things on earth) lay my destiny and purpose, I found myself in a particularly dark pit of despair, a period of immense doubt.

For a long miserable week I’d been stuck in one of those dark nights of the soul, doubting everything I had heard and experienced about healing, doubting my skills, and wondering if I had been brainwashed. Most of all I wondered if crazy people were aware that they were going crazy. Without a healing support group, and not knowing this was a common experience, I had nowhere to turn and was getting desperate.  (This is one of the many reasons I created the Global Institute for Awakening, the support group I longed for.)

One morning while brushing my teeth, pondering all that was weighing on me, I surprised myself.  Though I had never done this before, I asked for a sign.

It just popped out.  My Christian upbringing had left me with the impression that it was impertinent and greedy to ask Jesus to demonstrate that he could walk on water when you darn well knew he could.  So I assumed that asking God for help fell into the same category of offensive no-nos.

Immediately I was awash in guilt for having asked.  Yet I was struggling sooo hard, waffling between my solid inner knowing that “of course this is the right path for me”, and horrific demons of insecurity and doubt and “what will other people think.”

But out of my desperation it came.  For a moment, my mind actually gave up its constant mental machinations, its weighings and ponderings.  I simply gave up and asked,  “God, please give me a sign whether I should continue with this healing stuff or not.”  I was shocked to feel how much I meant it.  I really wanted to know, to make a decision, then and there.

Still brushing, I glanced up and out our small second-story bathroom window.  It framed a tiny selection of branches from the 200-year-old red oak about 30 feet behind our house.  As I watched, a crow immediately landed smack-dab in the middle of my view.   The exact middle.  Perfectly framed.

I stopped brushing.

The crow cocked her head and looked right at me.  Then she did something I’ve never seen another bird do before or since:  she bobbed her head up and down three times, in a big, exaggerated way.

I gaped.  She had 110% of my attention.  She seemed to pause to measure whether I’d gotten the message.  As if to make sure I had, she did it again, bob-bob-bob, looked at me a final time, and flew off.

If you know crow behavior and can explain what this action meant in the world of crows, please leave a comment.

I know what it meant to me.

I kept studying healing.

Where psychic readings go wrong….

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

This past weekend I had fun hosting GIA’s table at a 2-day Mind Body Spirit Expo.  Because it was oriented as a psychic fair (schedule a reading and get in the door free), I heard a lot from visitors to my table about their psychic readings.

What troubled me is that I heard about a lot of pain and suffering caused by their readings. Hang on, this is not what a psychic reading is about!

Over the last year, I’ve finally started using the word psychic to describe what I do as a business consultant.  It’s that simple: I see pictures, see new products in your potential, get timelined tasks to reach goals, and more.  Clients say the information is uncannily accurate and helpful.  So I’ve finally started calling it like it is — I’m a psychic.

Any psychic worth his or her salt would be horrified to discover their reading caused distress!  The whole purpose of a reading is to help you see and know capabilities you are ignoring, to see projects and gifts in your potential to easily develop, and heart-centered knowing that you are blocking out.  You might be blocked because of emotions, distress, stress, old habits, small thinking, or old conditioning and beliefs.

It’s OK to get help moving through those blockages.  The point of a reading is to give you information from your own informaiton field to uplift you to your greatest possibilities, and help you align with your heart and inner knowing.

Psychic Readings Are Healing Tools, Not Weapons

At our booth, one woman in particular told me a psychic said she was supposed to be an herbal healer.  But she was frustrated and angry.  She didn’t know where to begin, adding: “I don’t have the money for all those expensive fancy classes!”  Bottom line: she wasn’t feeling it, it wasn’t showing up, and she didn’t know what to do.

What I saw:  she was beating herself up about NOT fulfilling a psychic reading.

Whoa.

Freeze.

Put your hands on your heart and back slowly away from that psychic reading!!

Psychic readings are NOT meant to be weapons with which you can beat yourself up.  They are meant to uplift, inspire and heal.  If you are using your reading to feel guilty, frustrated, insecure, or upset, you are using it wrong.

Psychic Readings Are Other People’s Interpretations of YOUR Information Field

It’s ONE opinion.  And it might be a good one or a poor one, who knows.  It’s not written in stone. Let me explain.

As a psychic, I often see pictures.  As the woman was talking, I saw a beautiful garden unfolding before me.  A garden you could tinker in and get happy.

But after the picture comes the interpretation.  This is where psychic readings can shift off course, and it’s one of the reasons I often check in with my client by asking, “How does that feel to you?”  I want to know if I’m interpreting correctly.

What if the woman’s original psychic saw the same garden I did but concluded “herbal healer”?  I saw the garden and felt the garden itself talking to me.  So here’s how I helped.

The first thing I shared with the frustrated woman was this Truth:  You have all you need at every moment to accomplish your dreams, your calling, and your healing.  If you can’t afford classes, there is another way.  Books, the public library, free online searches.  You can ALWAYS find another way, always.

Secondly, I asked if she enjoyed gardening.  Big smile and happy look on her face!  Gardens were important and magical to her as a child, etc.  She LOVES gardening.  Ding ding ding.

When I asked how people could heal through having a garden, she knew the answer right away.  I saw a potential business within her and I shared:  she could help people plan, find resources for, and implement gardens.  Brilliant classes, plenty of demand.  She went away happier.

Which Reading Was Right?

Now, which psychic was “right”?  Is this woman really supposed to teach people to build gardens like I said?  Is that how she can best express her inner healer?

Or… one day after teaching gardening for a while, while she’s happily transplanting parsely, will the plant speak to her and begin instructing her in how to heal with its properties?  Did I give her the intermediary step to becoming an herbal healer?

The correct answer is: it doesn’t matter.  There is no such thing as “right”, there is only now.  All I know is she went away happier with herself, with a viable business idea, and further along the path of awakening her Inner Healer.

How can you use your psychic readings to inspire you, uplift you, and keep you going through the dark times?  THat’s what they are meant to do.  How can you use your own intuition and knowing to inspire you and help awaken YOUR Inner Healer?

You are a natural healer.  May you find your calling or the task that makes your heart sing, with or without the help of a psychic reading.  If you have one, feel your own truth within it, and extract the uplifting information and energies from it.

GIAwaken News: How to Handle Downloads from the Universe

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Note from Daria ~ Newsletter 18 Jan 2011

Oh what a week!

Last week was download week for me, and I’m still catching up with reality.  Messages, classes, marketing campaigns, coincidental offers — it all popped in, one after another after another. Almost to overwhelm level.

Have you experienced this yourself?  When your creativity goes crazy, and you become a fountain of ideas?  It’s exciting!  We are each connected to the Pool of All Possibilities, and when we open that connection, we can pull in new, life-enhancing options.  We can make the impossible possible.

Then the BIG question becomes: what do I do about it first?

Doing something about it is where GIA comes in.  We give you the practical tools and systems to shift that creative fountain of ideas to a well-oiled, enjoyable business, practice or career.

Here’s my favorite first step:  always always write down the idea or insight that came in. This action honors the Source of the idea.  It’s like saying thank you, plus you ARE taking the FIRST STEP to manifesting the concept in the physical/mental world.

I keep a “Brainstorms” file on the computer where I write these down, plus a little notebook in my purse.  A beautiful journal would be delightful.

Another good reason to write them down is that sometimes these download experiences can be like dreams — you may have shifted into an altered state, so when you start operating in the everyday world, the brilliant ideas fade like a dream in the morning.  Though they were earth-shattering, now you can’t remember them.

So write them all down, right away.  Then enjoy sifting thru that Brainstorms file now and again to find insights and ideas you can still use.

Let me know how this strategy goes.  Here’s to you and your highest calling!!

Many blessings,

Daria Boissonnas
Founder, Global Institute for Awakening

Bee Jimpson  ~  The Next Sense

Bee was raised in a culturally mixed home (Egyptian, Spanish, European and Quechua) in Argentina where traditional or folk healing was commonly used.  It wasn’t until much later in her life, however, that she stepped into her own power as a healer.  Today Bee travels the world to mentor other healers (including me) and teach people how to accept and truly use their intuition.  Join us to hear about her powerful journey!

Sheri McConnell  ~  Smart Women’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Learning
Author, Millionaire Business Coach, and Mom of 4

Sheri helps women start and grow membership-based businesses to attain financial independence, so they can make powerful life decisions from a place of abundance and balance, not from a place of poverty, fear, doubt, and “what if”.  As you might guess, she has recovered from being in that position too many times herself.  Today, she is the author of  Smart Women Know Their “Why” – A Guide for Discovering Your Life Purpose While Owning a Business So You Can Create Positive Change in the World (and Make Big Profits!)  Join us to hear Sheri’s powerful story of healing and how she helps others today.  (P.S. She is my business coach this year for the Institute.)

FREE AUDIO talk: “What to Do when Awakening Comes Unbidden”

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Speaker:  Daria Boissonnas, Founder, Global Institute for Awakening

“Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.”
–William Shakespeare, 12th Night, Act II, Scene V

I would rewrite that quote to say “Awakening” instead of greatness. Do you have intuitive, empathic, psychic or healing abilities that were almost thrust upon you? Do your abilities seem strange or make you uncomfortable? Do you feel different from others because of how you experience life? What can you do?

First of all, you’re not weird, you’re Awakening. But some of us are definitely thrown on our path by accident, illness, life crisis, or the development of psychic or healing abilities. Join us for this call and hear what Daria has to say after 12 years of working with folks like you (and being one herself).

We have many more calls coming up through the end of the year, including a surprise series starting tomorrow! Check our calendar page now:  http://GIAwaken.com/calendar

Q&A with Daria: “How do I keep going when the people I’m helping don’t get it?”

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Have you ever felt frustrated that people aren’t hearing your message?  Maybe, like the members and fans of the Global Institute for Awakening, you tend to be creative, visionary, or intuitive.  You may work as a consultant, coach, teacher, or healer.  You can easily see a higher-potential way of doing things…  but the people you work with don’t always get it.  Ugh.

From time to time it can be hair-tearingly frustrating to be out in front of the crowd, seeing what they don’t see… yet. It’s a wonderful gift to have the vision to solve problems, but sometimes it feels like a burden.  Then again, you can’t give up.  You can feel your motivation and mission bubbling up inside you, and you know you’ll be miserable if you don’t listen to it.

Instead of tearing your hair out, what can you do when you get frustrated — before you burn out?  The #1 concept we teach here is that you can change the world by changing yourself.  This is great news because truly you CAN ONLY change yourself.  Here’s one way you can shift out of the frustration:  retreat back to your favorite recharging place and contemplate your raison d’etre — your reason for doing what you do.

Knowing your vision, your message, your mission, and most importantly, your WHY, can carry you through your down moments.  Knowing these four items will help you move FAR in life, and quickly.  It will make it easier for you to help heal the world.

For a great example of this, I highly recommend you read the brand new book, “Smart Women Know Their WHY: The Guide for Discovering Your Life Purpose While Owning a Business So You Can Create Positive Change In the World and… Make Big Profits!” by Sheri McConnell, my wonderful business coach this year.   I chose her because she’s one of us:  super-creative, intuitive and has a message about business and taking action to change the world that few people are saying.  Get your copy on Amazon with the book link above.

Know Your Vision, Message, Mission and WHY

Here’s the core truth of this situation, and the key to solving it:  when people you are working with don’t get it, some part of YOU actually doesn’t get it.  Remembering your vision, message, mission and why helps YOU to “get it” again.  It helps you remember why you are doing what you are doing.  It pulls you out of the details and frustration and realigns you with the highest Potential of the situation.

If you don’t have these important points written out for your life, your family-raising, or your business, take a stab at them right now.  Answer these questions:

Raise Your Sights:  Your Healing Vision
What positive potential do you see that precious few others can see?  What change are you inspired and driven to make in the world?  How can you see people as empowered in the future?  What problem do you know you can solve?  (As an example, I see people as powerful healers of themselves and others, and as having MUCH more ability to change their lives for the better than they think!)

Speak Your Truth:  Your Healing Message
What information do you want to share with people?  If you could make people understand one thing, what would it be?  (My message: “You are a powerful healer, and to change the world, all you must do is awaken to your potential.”)

Make It Happen:  Your Healing Mission
How are you carrying this out in the world?  Are you a painter?  A journalist?  A consultant?  A mother?  What do you do everyday to make your vision come true and communicate your message?  (I’m clearly running a community of people who want to awaken their inner healer and change the world!  I also have a private practice working 1:1 with powerful creatives who can heal the world.)

Motivate Yourself:  Your Healing WHY
At the core of all these things is WHY you do them.  It’s easy to step out of your ego and get going again when you think of the people you are here to help and the pain you can help them move past.  It’s common to have different motivation in different areas of your life.

For instance, you may simply have been born with a gift or talent or insight that you love to share with others out of pure joy.  If so, you are a Creative Healer, creating healing out of nothing.

Perhaps a difficult experience in your early life motivates you to help others solve a problem that you once had.  If so, you may be a Wounded Healer, transforming your pain into so much more positive change.

Perhaps you are having fun mocking the establishment and helping people see the old, stuck ways are not what they thought they were.  If so, you may be a Trickster Healer.

For me, I do this because I can feel it bubbling up inside me.  I know this is what I was born to do, and I feel a divine obligation and joy in fulfilling that mission and glorifying Potential in the Universe by reaching beyond my comfort zone for my highest Potential.  My private practice comes from wounded healing — helping other high-level creatives, intuitives and healers deal with their gifts and successfully fulfill their big life missions.

I know you are a healer, full of solutions.  Sometimes others can’t see them.  Take a moment to step out of your ego and recharge yourself with your divine vision, message, mission, and reason why. Be sure to check out Sheri’s book while you’re at it!!

How to find that “something” that’s missing

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Do you feel cut off from the Universe in some hard-to-describe way?  Feel there’s something missing you can’t name, or that you should be doing… something else?  Even when we have a great situation (job, love interest, home, friends), many of us feel “empty” in some unidentifiable way.  Ugh.

Guess what.  You feel like you’re missing something because you are!  We are multidimensional beings squeezed into this strange 4-dimensional existence.  There’s a whole lot of you (and the Universe) that you can’t see, yet you feel connected do.  You must learn to find and tap into this — it is the rest of yourself.

Today’s way of living, however, has severed us from that vast, knowing part of ourselves that has so many names:  intuition, our higher self, inner guidance, our divinity and oneness.  It’s your full-potential, multi-dimensional Self.

As children, we are totally connected to this natural part of us, but we are too often trained out of that connection.  (“Stop imagining that!”  “No it isn’t!”  etc.)  We begin to doubt ourselves and stop listening.  As adults we walk around like an empty shell wondering what’s missing.  The answer is: we are!

Like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, however, you have had this connection to your higher self all along.  All you have to do is reopen it.  You can tap it!

Here are two powerful ways to start:

(1) By paying attention to the nudges and hunches you feel.  They may not hit you as full-fledged logical thoughts, often just “a feeling”.  Follow them — start testing how accurate they are.  This will help you discern between thoughts and intuitions.  I find intuition is right 100% of the time.  Thoughts… enh, pretty good but not so much.

(2) Learn to master your mind.  For just five minutes whenever you can get it, still your mind.  Utter silence.  An easy way to do this is to focus on something gentle and repetitive like your breathing or repeating the same words over and over like “I am”.  If a thought occurs, simply acknowledge it and let it float away.  Get into a neutral place where you can observe your mind and get to know it.  Then you can recognize the difference between mind chatter and Messages.

Remember: your mind is just a tool you have — it is not who you are!   It’s your job to manage it and reach your full Potential.
