Hello healer! Our mission at the Global Institute for Awakening is to help you, our members and fans, to:
- Heal yourself
- Awaken and live from the place of your natural Inner Healer
- Develop your healing gifts
- Understand the unique (and often challenging) spiritual path of the healer (and no jargon or doctrine)
- Hone your natural intuition or inner guidance
- Build your own spiritual connection to the Source of Life/God
- Live inspired
- And find deep fulfillment and meaning — as well as a rewarding and supportive career – by activating your Inner Healer
At GIA, we know you have a natural gift, something you do that’s easy for you to do, which ultimately creates healing in the world. If you hear it calling to you, we want to help you awaken your healing gift and share it powerfully enough to make a difference. We want to help you leave the greatest legacy possible: healing.
Welcome home, healer!

Meet Our Team
Daria Boissonnas, Founder
Daria Boissonnas is a writer, healer, and intuitive guide. Daria’s gift is seeing the spiritual gifts and potential in others, helping them understand and love themselves, think big, and get out in the world doing what they were born to do. She is a contributing author to the 2011 book Smart Women Live Their Why: How Women Entrepreneurs Are Living On Purpose and In Passion.
In her private practice (HealerToHealer.com), Daria offers intuitive consulting and healing to highly gifted and intuitive creatives and leaders, such as writers, artists, serial entrepreneurs, and performers, who have a transformational message for the world. She helps them build a healthy spiritual practice, platform, and business to connect their message to those who it will help. Her advanced clients make their business and life their highest spiritual practice.
As a healer, all Daria’s work is custom fit for each client. She listens intuitively to her client’s inner wisdom and energies, and asks how the client can most easily and quickly reach their goals. Then she guides the client to take those steps, often downloading an easy, timelined task list. Her mission is to help her clients LOVE themselves enough to fully share their divine gifts with the world. She works by distance or in person. After 15 years as a healer, Daria has accumulated a wide variety of techniques, two of which are most requested by client energy: Awakening Healing and the open framework of Health Kinesiology.
As a brilliant asker of questions since childhood, Daria has always been drawn to understanding God and how we can best fulfill our divine missions as imperfect humans. Daria firmly believes every living being has an innate Gift of the Healer — a natural gift which, when shared, creates healing for themselves and others. She would love to see everyone in the world say, “I am a healer!” and understand that their positive potential is much greater than they can imagine.
According to scientific Hand Analysis, Daria’s life purpose is Spiritual Mentor with Love. She has every intuitive gift marker there is, as well as the Lines of Genius which indicate a writing gift.
Daria has a BA in Economics from Cornell University. She is a certified Reconnective Healing practitioner and is a licensed massage therapist in Wisconsin (#3794-146).
Roger Boissonnas, Chief Technical Officer
Roger is Daria’s husband and has worked since his college days in information technology. A natural innovator, teacher, people person, consultant, technical architect, and master of many programming languages, Roger’s gift is in seeing the whole elephant and helping everyone agree about how to make it healthy and happy. He helps us do things the best way the first time, saving the time and money of redos.
Roger is experienced in web and Windows application design and development, business intelligence, data integration, data mining, and database design and administration. He helps the Institute think outside the box and ensure all the pieces fit together for the short-term and long-term so we can provide the highest quality services.
Roger has a BA in Psychology from Cornell University and has worked in a variety of industries including professional services, geographic information systems, publishing, financial services, and education. He is available for short-term consulting jobs that involve innovation and seeing the whole elephant.

Amy Taggart, Website Developer & Designer, Design Formare
Amy is a brilliant website creator who takes our vague ideas and comes back with a professional-looking, well-functioning website. She is fast and responsive, a rare and appreciated feature! Amy combines her high level of artistic abillity with her website development talents to program so much functioning and beauty into our website. She also has designed our facebook fan page picture (take a peek HERE), and our “7 Tasks of Awakening” map you can receive for free in our header.
We find Amy an absolute dream to work with. She has over a decade of experience in the design and multimedia industry, and you can see her beautiful portfolio here: http://www.designformare.com/portfolioweb/. She lives in the Seattle area.
We highly recommend Amy Taggart and her insightful work at http://designFORMARE.com.
Susan Johnson, Graphic Designer, Partner4Success
Susan taps her intuition as a graphic designer, and we LOVE the results! Her first ideas for our three beautiful “I am Awakening” posters for members were exactly as Daria had imagined and became the final design. She also designed our beautiful logo, and we have other projects in the works!
A reformed corporate work-aholic, Susan enjoys the freedom of setting her own standards of “WOW!” (not to mention how many dogs are allowed in the office and what is “appropriate office attire”). She takes great pride and pleasure in creating art that works for her clients. We are very grateful that she maintains a firm “no settling” policy. It simply is not allowed, and she has gently called us on it, for which we are grateful.
Susan lives on the Oregon Coast with her three dogs: Harmony, a 12-year-old black-tri Australian Shepherd; Toby, an 8-year-old Golden Retriever/Chow mix; and Scout, a 6-year-old black-tri Australian Shepherd; and two cats, Sassy and Nixie. When she’s not in the office, you might find her working in the yard, at the beach, coloring, curled up reading a book, beading, or exploring the gorgeous state of Oregon, dogs in tow and camera in hand. Or… you might not find her at all.
We highly recommend Susan. You can see her beautiful work at http://partner4success.com.
Lindsay A. Miller, Event Photographer & Documentarian, The Marketing Photographer™
Lindsay is an award-winning photojournalist who captures motion and emotion in her extraordinary event and portrait photography. Each picture tells a story. Not only that, Lindsay understands how photos sell and is a great consultant to help us know how to use which photos and when.
We love her high-quality images that vividly convey the experience of whatever she’s aiming her camera at. Lindsay documented Daria’s LA photo shoot in June 2010 and her onstage speaking in November 2010. She took our first professional videos, too!
If you are having an event (especially a transformative one) and you want photos that make you and your audience look good while conveying the essence of your message and transformation, we highly recommend you hire Lindsay! Find her here: http://www.TheMarketingPhotographer.com. We cannot say enough positive things about her talent and knowledge about the art and business of marketing photography!!
