Healing a tornado funnel cloud: do you think it made a difference?
One thing about thinking of yourself as a healer and being aware of your profound ability to make a difference in every moment is that interesting healing opportunities crop up everywhere!
Yesterday we drove home in a torrential downpour from touring the town’s brand new high school. Right away, on the south edge of town, we noticed a long, thin, dark funnel cloud pulling out of the clouds ahead of us and running mostly parallel to the ground, with the wispy end angling downward slightly. We watched in fascination as we drove right under it. By the time we reached the library, the town’s tornado siren was wailing.
I grew up in the midwest and remember my parents alertly monitoring such potential twisters. Most of the time, they never came near us. In the 8-10 mins of our trip from the high school, the end had significantly widened and was now pointing down maybe 30 degrees off of vertical. Eek! Would it get bigger? Would it reach for the earth? We debated, watched, checked weather.com for news, and marveled that a long funnel cloud like that could hold its shape so steadily for such a long time.
Then, I realized the clouds were actually slowly drifting towards us. Well, this was fascinating and educational and all, but what a pain if it touched down in town and messed up property!
“Do you think Reconnective Healing would do anything for it?” I asked my son, who is also a Reconnective Healing practitioner. (Note: you do NOT have to do woo-woo healing to help make a difference and heal the world!!! But please do notice the approach at hand — Awakening task #3: Explore the World, seek possibility…)
“I don’t know,” was his excellent answer. (Task #4: Be the Change, not the knowitall.)
“Well, if Reconnective Healing brings out the highest potential for all in a situation, then whatever the outcome, it will be best,” I said and started healing work aimed at the clouds. (Awakening task #5: Faith & Trust, task #6 Let Go of what-ifs, and again #4: DO something about it…)
Within two minutes the funnel had broken in half. Within four minutes it was gone. The sirens stopped. We looked at each other.
Coincidence? “Re-coincidence”? What do you think?
I find it delightfully amusing that we will never know. And does it really matter? Either way, a tornado did not rip through our town today, and I hope you had an appreciably pleasant afternoon as well.

I’m a Reconnective Healing practitioner, too. These are very different frequencies we are working with. Sometimes I wish it were named something other than Reconnective HEALING because I think these frequencies are about so much more than healing in the usual way we think of it. Did they break up the funnel? We’ll never know, but it’s certainly a possibility. Thanks for sharing this story!

Hi, I’m an RH practitioner also. Thank you for sharing this and I certainly agree that this energy is about much more than just healing. I had a client yesterday ask me about using the frequencies to enhance things other than health. He was asking if it could be beneficial for something like a concert or lecture he was going to be doing. I said I wasn’t sure but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Anyway, thanks and I will forward this page to him. Peace, Mark

Wow, Daria , what a great story. I am glad you told it as it validates my story as well. Not long after I became a reconnective healer, I was at the local laundry mat washing my clothes. At the time, I was also on unemployment insurance and I was not too happy with the prospect of taking money for nothing. (Although this was at the beginning of the massive unemployment in the U.S.A at the time ) Anyway, I was trying to do little things for the community and hence the state I was living in at the time, such as picking up garbage, being an informal information booth for the community inhabitants.
So with that being said, after I put my clothes in the washer i went outside and looked up at the sky. Yes a storm was coming but , odd some of the clouds were coming in from the west (the ones to the right and some were coming in from the east, to my left. Hmmm. and then I looked more carefully and found the nexus of this counterclockwise movement.
Why dear lord, that is probably a hurricane (I live in new jersey across the river from Manhattan). I was already transfixed by the sight and I have to confess, a prereconnective me would have loved to see some destruction. But this time, I thought differently and I already felt part of this storm so it wasn’t hard to get into the moment.
I activated my hands and put them up half pretending just to feel the wind (so people wouldn’t look at me any more strangely than they already do) but I was focusing on the nexus with the intent of breaking it up. And I don’t know too much about hurricanes, but I could see that this has already decided to become something of one. Within thirty seconds the nexus disappaited (and not even to my shock). No destruction.
County and state of new jersey and my real home town of Manhattan were spared the consequences of a destructive storm. We have had a few more of such of these storms this year (which were not known to me at the time) which did become quite destructive in terms of property damage so I think that is what my storm would have done if left unabaited.
Now the line “did I really make a difference” runs though my head with a lot of things. But not with this, I know my actions did make a difference.
For the remainder of my stay on unemployment, i gladly and proudly collected my check as payment for services rendered.
That’s my story and I am sticking to it.
As for your story, you asked in bold type “What do you think?” i think only you and your son know the answer. But I hope my story validates yours as well.
I have said this before and I will say it again: “Reconnective Yoga came as result of What if? and experimentation”. Let us all experiment and try to apply this “power” to situations that have our attention. Since they already have our attention, we might as well become part of the solution instead of just being a passive observers.
Just my two cents . Thanks again Daria.

Hi, that’s a great story.
I’m an RH practitioner in the UK. And I agree with what Atmara has to say about HEALING. I use the word WHOLING in preference, tho’ I have come across someone who uses BEING instead of Healing -maybe it was you Atmara.
Great to hear others use these frequencies in a non-typical way. It really does go to show that we are facilitating tapping into a total information domain, not just directedly related to the human body, but to the whole of the world we live in.
Haven’t used it on weather here, we don’t have twisters here, and as most of our weather is not so deeply destructive where we are I am happy to take the approach that it is all part of the grander scheme. But I think it is great to remember that we may be able to minimise the destructive effects within the grander scheme. I truly belive that a lot of weather reflects back to us our collective state of mind, and that each of us can therefore have an effect on the best and the worst of weather.
When I first came home from doing my reconnective healing training seminars, my solar hot water system pump was making a terrible noise and sounded like it was about to die. So I spent some time with it with the reconnective frequencies with a view to it recovering full functionality. It is about 98 % restored now. Just occasionally it makes a small murmur.
Was that down to the reconnective frequencies, or coincidence? Maybe we will become more certain in the future. For now we have so much to learn, and so much to remember – mainly, that we can use these frequencies far more often than we do.
Old habits die hard!
So, the more we can remind each other to tap into that domain at every opportunity, the better.
Here’s to you all!
